Tree Trimming For Healthy, More Vibrant Trees

Posted on: 12 August 2019

When you work hard to make your yard look great, the health of the trees on your property is always something to pay attention to. Tree trimming helps remove diseased or dead branches, increases air circulation within the tree canopy, and encourages the growth of new branches and leaves. When you have a tree with a large broken limb, it can become a safety hazard if the limb falls on your property. Whether you haven't had your trees trimmed for some time and they need some shaping or you have had a recent storm and there is damage, get your trees inspected by a professional tree trimming service so that they can be taken care of.

New Growth Is Encouraged

Getting your trees trimmed helps shape the tree into a more attractive look. If the tree is a bit sparse, trimming is going to help encourage new branch growth. Leaves will fill in, giving your tree a fuller, more vibrant appearance.

Sun Exposure Increases

Trees need the sun in order to grow. If your tree is overgrown and full of dead branches, these are going to block some of the sun exposure your tree needs in order to be healthy. When you trim your trees, the amount of sun available to nearby plants will also increase. In addition, tree pruning improves the air circulation surrounding your tree, giving your tree what it needs to stay strong and healthy.

Disease and Decay Are Kept Under Control

If only a few leaves and branches on a tree are affected by disease or decay, a good trimming can stop the problem in its tracks. You can avoid the need to take down an entire tree because of a disease when you get the tree trimmed early. If you wait, the tree can become too diseased or decayed to save.

Young Trees Can Take Shape

Tree pruning helps young trees by encouraging new growth. The new tree will have a better shape, and the branch structure will be stronger with regular pruning. When you have specific plans in mind for the shape of your tree, tree trimming will allow you to have the trees you want when you start early.

Tree trimming helps keep the trees in your yard free from disease and decay. Prevent an accident from falling branches and encourage new tree growth by getting your tree trimming service in place today.

Keeping Your Trees Healthy

About a year ago, I realized that our front trees were starting to look a little funny. Some of the leaves were wilted, but we weren't anywhere near autumn. The bark on the trunk also seemed to be rotting away, which was frustrating and disappointing. Fortunately, a friend of mine told me to call a professional arborist for help. He came out, inspected the trees, and injected some special pesticides into the trunk. Within a few months, they started to look a lot better. Our arborist also trimmed our trees to reduce the weight load on the branches and to improve their shape. Check out this blog for information about tree trimming.
