5 Reasons Why You Need An Emergency Tree Service

Posted on: 31 July 2023

Emergency tree services operate 24 hours a day and are ready to quickly attend to a range of tree emergencies, such as dead tree removal or fallen tree removal. If your tree has suffered an unexpected accident, then you need the services of a 24-hour emergency tree service. An emergency tree service can help you in a number of tree emergencies. Here are some of the reasons why you might call an emergency tree service.

1. After storm damage

Storms can cause all manner of damage to healthy trees. For instance, a lightning strike can split a tree in two and cause a fire that could spread and kill the tree. Heavy rain can also wash away the soil covering supporting tree roots, which can leave trees at risk of falling over. Branches broken or damaged in heavy storms could fall and damage your property or injure someone. If your tree suffers storm damage, call an emergency tree service. They can evaluate your tree and decide how to approach the issue.

2. If your tree looks too weak to withstand an incoming storm

If you have a weak or sick tree on your property and the weather is likely to worsen over the coming days or weeks, consider hiring an emergency tree service to remove the tree. If you leave the tree as it is, bad weather could cause it to keel over and damage the surrounding area.

3. When your tree suddenly leans

A tree that starts to lean suddenly is slowly becoming a major safety hazard. When a tree leans without warning, this means its root system can no longer hold it securely in the ground. You need an emergency tree service to remove the tree before it falls over.

4. When part of your tree falls

If your tree loses a branch or two suddenly, then you need to find out why that happened. Is the tree sick or diseased? Or is it dying and gradually becoming weaker and weaker? A dead tree can become a safety hazard since it can drop branches without warning. You need an emergency tree service to evaluate your tree if parts of it have fallen off.

5. When your tree falls on your home

This is a serious problem that needs urgent assistance from an emergency tree service. The longer a tree remains on your home, the higher the chance that more damage could occur due to the weight bearing down on your home. An emergency tree service can use a crane to lift a fallen tree from your home.

Keeping Your Trees Healthy

About a year ago, I realized that our front trees were starting to look a little funny. Some of the leaves were wilted, but we weren't anywhere near autumn. The bark on the trunk also seemed to be rotting away, which was frustrating and disappointing. Fortunately, a friend of mine told me to call a professional arborist for help. He came out, inspected the trees, and injected some special pesticides into the trunk. Within a few months, they started to look a lot better. Our arborist also trimmed our trees to reduce the weight load on the branches and to improve their shape. Check out this blog for information about tree trimming.
